Meander Lines
In cartography, a "meander line" is used to delineate the border at which a body of water meets a land mass. In some sense, it is a boundary between the known and the unknown. In this body of work, I am depicting my own "meander lines," between external stresses, pressures, and fears and my own selfhood. The work includes imagery created from maps, sewing patterns, bathymetric charts, exercise guides, film stills, and vivid color to give the sense of mapping.
